Smoothies can be a quick and easy way to nourish your body with all of the nutrients that are essential to maintaining optimal health and wellbeing.
How many times have you heard the phrase ‘eat your greens?’ This can be a tough task to complete when our lives are so busy and rushed. Nurse Fiona recommends packing your greens and superfoods into a daily homemade smoothie that is quick and easy to make, delicious to drink and jam packed full of vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
Smoothies do have a ‘healthy’ image but pre-made/ pre-bottled drinks can often contain high amounts of sugars, calories and preservatives that may be detrimental to your health. The best way to ensure you are consuming the maximum amount of nutrients is to make your smoothie yourself using fresh, organic produce.
