What treatment will I have to have?
If any skin abnormalities are identified, the area will be evaluated to determine the best course of treatment. Typically, a biopsy or mole removal will be performed. If skin cancer is identified, most melanoma stages can be treated quickly through excision, or removal of the skin cancer moles or abnormalities on the skin. However, in some cases, biopsy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or further treatments may be required. Generally, the earlier skin abnormalities are identified, the less invasive the treatment. Your specialist doctor will advise you on further treatment directly following your Advanced Mole Mapping session.
