Anti-wrinkle Injections

Resulting in Younger looking, wrinkle free Skin

Our injection treatments are one of our most popular anti-ageing treatments. We call these treatments ‘Muscle relaxants’  because they work by reducing muscle contractions, which in turn reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. They have been used for over 3o years to treat many medical conditions, such as tendon injuries, irritable bladders, eyelid spasms and facial spasms. We later discovered that these injections also helped to reduce signs of ageing. Nowadays we use Anti-wrinkle Injections to giving us a fresher, more youthful looking face. The ageing face has wrinkles and furrows, which may develop as a result of weakened Collagen in the skin, from sun exposure and gravity, or due to excess facial muscle action on the skin. By relaxing these facial muscles with anti-wrinkle injections, these wrinkles and furrows smooth away.

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?

This popular and well known cosmetic treatment sends a message to the nerves in the facial muscles and stops them contracting, which results in a smoothing effect of existing wrinkles and also helps to prevent deeper lines forming. anti-wrinkle injections, are injected into specific areas of the face to smooth  out lines and wrinkles.

The most popular anti-wrinkle injection treatment areas are:

  • Frown lines and wrinkles
  • Forehead lines and creases between the brows
  • Crow’s feet and laughter lines
  • Chin Dimples

At Nuriss we promote the ‘natural look’ which means that you are still able to have expressions after having anti-wrinkle injections. It should not be obvious that you have had anything done, but you will look rejuvenated and refreshed.

Firstly you will have a consultation with one of our medical practitioners. During the consultation your medical history will be taken, you will discuss the options available to you, the effect that anti-wrinkle injections can have and aftercare advice will be given.

Anti-wrinkle injections costs start from £210 for one area of the face. Typically one area would be the forehead, or crows feet or lines between the brows (Glabellar lines).

If you decide to have a treatment, your face will be carefully assessed and if booked in advance a Digital Visia Imaging can be used to assess your wrinkle percentage and degree of skin ageing. The areas to be treated are cleansed thoroughly. Anti-wrinkle injections is then administered with a very fine needle, in doses that are calculated accordingly, to give the required result. At Nuriss we always promote subtle and natural looking results. However, we do offer a review with a top up after 2-3 weeks without further cost, to ensure that you have the result you are looking for.

How long do the injections take and is it painful?

Good results can be obtained after a single treatment and the effect generally lasts between 3 to 4 months. The procedure is simple to perform and most patients find the injections only cause a mild sting lasting seconds. Topical anaesthetic cream can be used to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

How long do anti-wrinkle injections last?

Repeat treatments are usually needed approximately every 3-4 months over a 12 month period. It is encouraging to note that clinical trials report that some patients who have had several treatments, only require further treatments once or twice the following year.
